R.I.P. Hostess: Homemade Twinkies and CupCakes to Mark the End of an Era! (Preview)

(EDIT: The full recipes are now up! Twinkies & CupCakes)

On Friday, Hostess Brands, the company responsible for churning out all of the best junk-food desserts from our childhoods, announced that it will be shutting down all plants and liquidating all assets.  Goodbye to my favorite grade-school noms:  CupCakes, Twinkies, Ding Dongs and Snowballs, you will be sorely missed.

Overcome by nostalgia, I spent the evening baking some homemade Twinkies and CupCakes in tribute .  As a sneak peak, I’ve included a few photos for your enjoyment.  Stay tuned for the recipes!

Check back in the next couple of days for the full post!
